Name of Artifact: Child Study Investigation
Date: October 2014
Course: EDUC 250: Educational Psychology

Brief Description:
Over the course of one month, I observed a child of almost four years in the
setting of his own home multiple times in order to evaluate his current physical,
cognitive, social, and emotional standings. In addition to my findings, I also
interviewed the parents of the child to get a better understanding of the households
daily routines. This investigation ends with my thoughts and suggestions for the
subjects parents to further develop their child in all areas investigated in the study.

Rationale:
To document my understanding of Learner Development, I have selected to
include my Child Study Investigation because it validates my proficiency to
collaborate with families as an out-of-school resource to identify individual learner
development. This investigation involved analyzing and assessing various
approaches to develop common understandings of the subjects learning
experiences and needs.
