I have been very fortunate to collaborate with Maria on a number of levels over the last several
years. She has a reputation for inclusiveness, dedication, and connectivity with her students.
Whether in the clinical or classroom setting, Maria consistently sets the bar high for her students,
yet goes out of her way to ensure that each individual is successful academically. She also
possesses a talent for inspiring greatness in her students; it was obvious to me early on that she
had a sincere, vested interest in enhancing her students educational experience. Her passion for
teaching is clearly evident in each interaction I have had with her.
Maria is adept at recognizing the individual learning needs of her students, as well as providing
the time and resources needed for one to successfully navigate the nursing curriculum. She is
able to enhance the students learning experiences by encouraging the sharing of diverse
opinions, as well as facilitating lively discussion of ideas among student colleagues. Maria also
possesses the natural talent of easily connecting with her students, as well as instilling in them a
desire to become leaders and change agents within the nursing profession.
Maria is a wonderful nurse educator with a kind heart and genuine love for nursing. She is an
intelligent, capable, and personable young woman. Maria consistently came to her clinical with
me prepared, organized, and focused; she possesses a drive to succeed that will serve her well in
the future. I feel confident in saying that Maria is capable of handling any situation with
thoughtfulness and maturity.
