RCHK Exhibition Timeline guide for students 2015

Theme: Who we are

Title: RCHK PYP Exhibition

Week 3
4th 9th
May

-Research Key concept questions should be identified which will be used


to focus your research.
-You need to have evidence of your research in a RIGG or graphic
organizer.
- Begin to list possible experts who may be able to assist you with your
inquiry.

- Maintain your goals / progress in your Capacity Matrix.

Student notes: I have completed most of this apart


from I still need to put information into my RIGG.

Weeks 4 &
5

- Research ongoing.
- Action research begin planning / organizing surveys.
Contacting experts / NGOs who may be able to assist with your inquiry. If
you arrange interviews how are you going to record / have evidence of
these interviews? Do you have relevant open- ended questions to ask?

workshop. Now at the end of week 4 I have sent out
my survey but I am still waiting for more responses

slogan related to you issue / passion.


End of week 5 - You need to have a definite decision made about how you
intend to present your PYP Exhibition inquiry. This is needed so that
Teachers can begin to plan where, when and how all Year 6 students will
present their PYP Exhibition inquiry of 4th June 2015.

Trashion.

I have now finished the Trashion Dress and I have
started to put together graphs.

Is your presentation going to show action you have taken? Or, is the action
going to be in the form of a product for the Exhibition?

If you plan to use the Exhibition itself to take action (advocacy) what is
your product going to look like? You need to be making it now.

Student notes: For my exhibition presentation I have


made a trashion dress and I have written a book and
I am making a video of my lunch time workshop and
making the trashion dress and if I need anything else
a photo gallery.

You need to begin working on your presentation. What do you intend to do


for your presentation (film, drama, painting, song, Keynote) to inform about
your PYP Exhibition inquiry.

Is your presentation going to show action you have taken?

Practice presenting to an audience.

Staging how are you going to stage your PYP Exhibition inquiry /
product? You will have a specific area to showcase your work. How will you
design it to grab the attention of people passing (banner, model, hat,
clothes you wear)?


Week 7

Complete final presentation rehearsals in front of an audience.


Ensure that you have all the necessary equipment ready dont think you
will just get it on the day!
Ensure that your weebly / journal is up to date.

Think about questions that you may get from your audience:
Are you able to explain what you have achieved in your PYP Exhibition
inquiry?
What was the Transdisciplinary theme, key concepts, what learner profile
attributes do you feel you have shown etc.
What have been the challenges during the Exhibition process?

Setting up day for the Exhibition.
Organize your staging.
Share with parents where you will be located in the school on the day.
Have a copy of the timetable for tomorrow printed, are there specific times
that you are presenting (Ted talks, songs, dances etc).

I do not have a specific time that I am presenting and
I know how to answer lots of questions that I think
might be asked.
