Educating Others with A New Form of Media

Project Overview
In the world of modern technology emerges the new type of educational media YouTube videos. In this project, students are assigned in teams of three to create an
educational video in the style of the YouTube series by John and Hank Green, Crash
Course. In each video, students will explain a concept from the book Persepolis by
Marjane Satrapi. Concepts may include government, religion, or social classes.
Essential Questions
How will you communicate difficult subjects to your audience?
What is a concept from Persepolis that you believe should be conveyed?
What do you find unique about the style of Crash Course videos?
Why is it essential to know who your audience is? Who is your audience?
Final Products
A 5-8 minute video that is well produced and clearly includes at least one concept
from Persepolis
