Driving Question: How does technology affect the choices we make?


Lesson Objective: Students will be able to examine how access to
information and technology has shaped people and events by looking at
the way social media has influenced decisions in the modern world.

Create a separate google doc. Find a scholarly article about
the political, social, or developmental effects of new technology.
Write a paragraph on what consequences may result from such
a technology. Write another paragraph discussing possible
solutions.

reflect on and provide evidence of their new
knowledge.
Provide directions and/or link for collecting this
reflection
Pair up with 2-3 other partners and discuss the article that you
found. Determine which of the articles you want to share with
the class. Each group will record a 5 minute podcast on
Vocaroo discussing the article and the broader context of the
effect of technology on politics, society, or child development.
Post the Vocaroo on Padlet.
