Whew! What a wonderful farewell celebration! I feel like Cher on her farewell tour!
This is the longest goodbye ever! I was once again, blown away by all of the surprises
and tributes. The songs, cheers, video that included everyone in the school, seeing
many former students, listening to the remarks from parents, and the thoughtful gifts
were overwhelming. Terry, Rebecca, Julie, Sharon, Aileen and Linda, thank you all for
taking time to work with and prepare the children. I was so happy that they were able
to actively participate in the celebration. I cant wait to read the rest of their retirement
suggestions for me. I liked the ideas that went into the powerpoint. I would love to go
to Paris!
OK, enough about me. Thank you all for your thoughtful work on placement
yesterday. Lisa and I are reviewing all of the lists and will share them with specialists
and some others for additional insights. So far the lists look pretty good. Some small
tweaks may be needed, but I didnt see any glaring problems that we wont be able to
fix easily.
Technology will be collected and stored for the summer on Thursday, June 18th. Julie
will be in the Technology Lab before school from 8:15-8:45 and then from 9:30-12:00
collecting technology.
In the fall your equipment was returned to you in a ziplock bag. Use the 2 gallon size
ziplock bag labeled with your name and place the following items inside:
The dongle
Speakers
Chrome Book Chargers
iPad chargers
Projector remote- remove batteries
Smartboard tools and erasers.
Batteries will be stored separately in a cool place this summer.
In addition, return:
Document camera with cords and cables in the black bag or box. Be sure your name is
labeled on the bag or box.
Chrome Books
MacBooks
iPads
Rolling Smartboards, cover with black cases if possible
All iPads need to be removed from the covers and wiped down with the wipes given by
the district only. Julie will be checking the condition of the iPad's screen protector,
therefore do not put the case back on the device. K-1 and IS teachers be sure the iPad
and the cases are labeled with your name.
All Chrome Books and Macbooks should be wiped down with the wipes given by the
district only.

My schedule over the next few weeks will be very mixed up due to all of the End of
Year tasks and events that are occurring. Please look at my schedule carefully and email
me if you need to know where I am.
My schedule next week:
Mon: Out
Tues: AM-BA, PM-GB/BOE
Wed-Thurs: AM-BA, PM-GB
Fri: AM-GB, PM-BA
(More about technology)
See Julie if:
You need more wipes
Your equipment is missing a label
You have any technology that is not working properly,
You have technology that is still out for repair
Julie and I are aware of the technology that has been reported missing. If you find
technology in your room, bring it to Julie ASAP so it can be returned to it's rightful
place.
There will be no Chrome Books on carts and the Tech Lab will be closed as of
Thursday, June 18th.
If you are moving grades, do not remove labels, Julie will attend to that after inventory
is taken. Thanks.
