Insects-born diseases

Insects-born diseases are a very common problem in Ecuador, with a

high presence of Dengue, Malaria and recently Chicungua. This kind of
diseases appears in the Coast Region and in the amazon region because
they are placed under the 1000 meters under sea level creating the
necessary and appropriate conditions for incubating the eggs of different
kinds of mosquitos, precursors of tropical diseases such as those
mentioned. Nowadays, the Health Ministry is working very hard in
tropical diseases prevention campaigns. It is clear that the most
important thing is education, and therefore they are focused on
campaigns to educate people on the proper ways to store water and
cleaning of sewers and drains. Another important point is the lack of
drugs to treat these diseases. Another important point is the lack of

patients are prescribed with common antibiotics, which only control
fever and body aches. Therefore, it should initiate studies of high level to
obtain definitive cures or vaccines for such diseases as they affect
vulnerable populations, far from medical centers and therefore die due
to the lack of simple care and cheaper drugs.
