2015 INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL SCIENCE CAMP OF THE BORRES YOUTH

LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (BYLI) INC.
The Borres Youth Leadership Institute (BYLI) Inc. announces its 2015 International Social
Science Camp with the theme Eliminating Social Inequities Towards Global Unity from October 24
to 28, 2015 in Iloilo City.
The Camp aims to:
1. stimulate and cultivate student-participants interest in learning various
fields of social sciences;
2. develop their awareness of and concern for social issues in personal, social,
environmental and technological contexts;
3. provide them with a venue for youth leadership development; and
4. create a community of junior social scientists.
The target participants are secondary and college/university students, student
council/government officers, social studies/science students, teachers and advisers and nongovernment organizations (NGOs) workers/volunteers from both public and private schools
nationwide and delegates from other ASEAN countries.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-ofclasses policy stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase
Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
