Dear Sir/Madam,
We are Civil Engineering students from Mapa Institute of Technology, currently
conducting a study entitled, Vulnerability of Pandacan Bridge to Pier Failure in the
event of Barge Collision using Method of Equivalent Impact Force in
Approximating Barge Impact which aims to identify the structural integrity of Pandacan
Bridge piers against pier failure in an extreme and unforeseeable event of barge collision.
For the utmost success of this study, we wish to seek your help to provide us an
experts opinion and actual data on the following matters: (1) dimensions and weight of
barges, (2) types of barges passing through and the (3) speed of the largest barge
passing through Pandacan bridge, (4) maximum speed of the barges, (4) frequency
of the barges, and (5) items transported on the barge.
We hope you can provide us with these information. Thank you and more power.

Our sincerest gratitude,
