Musa you were very eager to say goodbye to your mother this morning as you raced
across the classroom to friends Fawwaz, Alanzo and Layan. I have just spoken to
your mother about what we do in PMP and how the physical games benefit your
learning and developing. We started with some directionality games (level 1 and
level 2), including marching backwards and hopping left which had you laughing at
how tricky it was. After our physical games I overheard you with your friend Fawwaz,
Now I will be Teacher as you incorporated superhero moves.
Review of learning
Musa you showed a lot of wonderful learning dispositions today, I was especially
proud of you when you persevered to master the two you found most tricky
marching backwards and hopping left! I really like how you could find humour when
faced with difficulty Musa. It is very evident you are strengthening your courage,

curiosity, trust, playfulness and courage by taking an interest, being involved and
communicating with clarity and precision. For example, creating your own PMP
game during free play. Each day you are developing more confidence and control in
your body while also becoming familiar with mathematical concepts ka pai!

Where to next?
With your interest in PMP I am confident these games will be supported at home and
at school. I hope to encourage you to participate in other physical games as I know
you find these skills challenging. We will encourage your perseverance and find
humour throughout all curriculum areas by supporting you and encouraging you and
ensuring challenges are within your ZPD (Zone of Proximal Development)
