explains how and why something
happens. A cause is why something
happens. An effect is what
happens.
Strategy: Reread: When you read
informational text, you may come
across facts and ideas that are new
to you. As you read, you can reread
the difficult sections to make sure
you understand them and to help
you remember key details.
Vocabulary Strategy: Context
Clues- When you arent sure what
the word means, you can look at
the other words around it to figure
out the meaning. These other
words may be definitions,
examples, or restatements of the
words meaning.
