Genre: Tall Tales are a type of folk


tale that feature a larger-than-life
hero.
Skill: Cause and Effect. The
cause is an event or action that
makes something happen. An
effect is what happens because of
the event or action.
Strategy: Visualizing is a strategy
you use when you read that
involves picturing the characters,
events, and setting of the story.
Visualizing the events helps you
better understand the story.
Vocabulary Strategy:
Homographs-are spelled the
same but have different meanings
and different origins.
