Editor Application 2015-2016


Roles and Responsibilities of the Editor
Editors play a vital role in ensuring that quality content is published in
The Meducator
. As a
member of the editorial board, you would be responsible for carrying out the following
tasks from September 2015 to April 2016:
Attending full-staff meetings, Editorial Board meetings and on-copy edits during the
year
Writing regular feature articles, such as
MedBulletins, Sil Columns,
and interview
pieces
Giving input in selecting which submitted manuscripts will be accepted for
publishing
Editing all content to ensure that they are the highest possible quality for
publication
o Includes editing accepted manuscripts, communicating with authors, and
helping them to find post-graduate editors for their pieces
o Includes editing staff-written pieces like
MedBulletins, Sil Columns, etc.
