Article II. Purpose of the Club

Promote reading.
Provide a positive forum in which students can discuss and recommend
books.

Article III. Membership

Membership is open to students currently enrolled at Del Valle High

School.

Article IV. Faculty Sponsors

There must be a faculty sponsor.

The sponsor must attend all club meetings.
The sponsor will maintain order within the club

Article V. Meetings

Meetings will be held every two weeks on a day and time decided by the
club officers.
Minutes and attendance will be taken during all meetings.
Minutes and attendance records will be kept in a binder.

Article VI. Activities

Students must have a 70+ in core subjects to participate in special

activities such as Movie Night, Read Across America, field trips, etc.
Proceeds from fundraisers will be deposited into the clubs school account
through the school business office.

Article VII. Website

The club website may include book recommendations, trailers,
meeting schedule, activities, newsletter, and useful links.

Article VIII. Deletions/Modifications

Articles in these bylaws may be deleted or modified by a majority vote of
the club.
