PEER ASSESSMENT:

Introduction: my response gives background information: author, type of work, setting


and brief summary.
Description: WHAT? WHO? WHERE? WHEN? WHY?
My response describes the main characters and their relationships, key events and
incidents (more information). Gives a summary of what happened.
Personal Response: my response describes my feelings about the event and what I
learnt from the experience. I include my own thoughts and opinions
Conclusion/ Judgement: my response evaluates the work; it has my opinion, and I
make a recommendation.
LANGUAGE FEATURES
I use a new paragraph for each part.
I use descriptive and evaluative words (interesting, hilarious, dark, exciting, boring,
awful, fantastic)
I use many different kinds of VERBS: action verbs, saying verbs, and thinking verbs (ran,
shouted, thought)
I use words that help me show the order/sequence of events (first, then, later on, after
that, finally)

I use persuasive language in my judgement of the work (this book is a must read; you
must watch this movie because)
