Subject: Smoke-Free Environment
The overall health of all my employees has always been my primary concern. As a small
employer, I feel personally responsible to ensure our workplace poses no harm to
anyone regardless of their position or length of service. In an attempt to move toward a
healthier work environment, we are making a change to our health care coverage.
Starting in two months, the premium for smokers will increase 15% from its current
level.
The delay in the start of this increase is designed to give anyone who is interested the
chance to enroll in a smoking-cessation program. Our concern for your health is what
drives this change.
