Please pack a snack and drink/water for your child to have during break time

Water is allowed at any time


Please avoid foods that contain nuts

After School Pick Up


For the safety of your child, please come to the classroom as there is no adult supervision on the first
level of the school building.

Curriculum
Classes are taught in both English and Chinese, but will have increasing amounts of Chinese as the
school year progresses.
Traditional Chinese is the basis with the following components:
Listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing
Zhuyin/BoPoMo /
Chinese character etymology and evolution
Stroke order
Chinese culture - holidays -

Class Contests
Recitation contest - students will read a short paragraph or poem in front of a panel of judges.
Scoring criteria include pronunciation, posture, volume, etc.

Chinese character recognition contest - students will be asked by me to recognize characters


learned throughout the year by reading the word, spelling out the Zhuyin and saying its meaning
