Residential Burglary in the 6600 block of W 132nd Terrace


Around 3:30 this afternoon, Overland Park Police responded to a reported residential burglary in
the 6600 block of W 132nd Terrace. The homeowners arrived home to find someone had entered
their home, ransacked several rooms, and shot the family dog while inside the home. The dog
was transported, by the family, to a local veterinary clinic, where it is expect to make a recovery.
Officers are still investigating on scene. At this time, it is unknown what items, if any, were taken
from the home. A neighbor reported seeing a bright red, four door car, displaying a Missouri tag
in the area between 12:30 and 1:00. The car was driven by a white male with brown hair.
