Fatality Accident at Eastbound I-435 Highway and Antioch Road
On Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 around, 11:20 AM the Overland Park Police Department
responded to an injury accident in the area of eastbound I-435 Highway and Antioch Road.
Upon arrival officers located an overturned concrete truck on eastbound I-435 Highway, just west
of Antioch Road. The driver of the concrete truck was pronounced deceased on scene. The
passenger in the concrete truck was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening
injuries.
Currently eastbound I-435 Highway is closed at 69 Highway. Officers are estimating to re-open
the highway prior to rush hour traffic this evening.
The Overland Park Police Traffic Safety Unit continues to investigate this accident.
