This weekly newsletter from Mrs. Tubbs outlines the curriculum for the coming week. The week will start with an "All About Me" activity for students to complete with their parents to get to know each other. Students will then present their projects to their classmates. Sight words for the week will be "I", "am", and "the" and parents are asked to help students practice these nightly. The story for the week will be "Apples to Apples" and there will be related apple activities. Math lessons will focus on numbers 1 through 5 and parents will receive flashcards to use at home with repetition emphasized.

Hello everyone, This week we will be covering some very important material. We will start the week off getting to know each other. There is an activity in the Parent Involvement Plan packet that your child will need your help completing. It is called "All About Me". This will be a fun activity for both you and your child. Once it is completed, we will have all the students present their projects to their classmates. We will also be working on our first three sight words this week. The words for this week will be "I", "am", "the". Please help your child work on these at home each night. Our story this week is called "Apples to Apples". We will also be doing some activities with apples this week to go along with the story. Math this week will focus on recognizing numbers 1-5. I will be sending home number flashcards this week. Please use those with your child each night. Repetition is the best method for learning these beginning skills. Thank you for your cooperative efforts to help make this a magical adventure for your child!
