Veterans Week
Each year, Canada marks Veterans' Week from November
5 to 11. Veterans' Week is a time to honour and
remember all those who served Canada in times of war,
military conflict, and peace. Throughout the week,
commemorative events and activities will be held in
communities across the country.
This year, the students and staff at All Hallows Elementary will take an active role in
commemoration. Taking part in remembrance events develops a deeper understanding of
the sacrifices and achievements of those who have served and continue to serve our
country.
We will provide our students with a number of opportunities to become involved in
remembrance. They will get to work on art related projects, read, write, sing, wear
poppies, and place wreaths at our annual Veterans Week Ceremony.
By taking an active role in commemoration, we become part of a legacy of remembrance
and gratitude and set an example for future generations so that the torch of remembrance
continues to burn brightly.
We will hold our annual Veterans Week Ceremony at
9:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2015, in our school
gymnasium.
Parents and friends are welcome. Students and
teachers are asked to wear red as a symbol of
remembrance for soldiers who have died in the line of
duty and a sign of support for those involved in active
duty.
We vow to never to forget. Together, it is our duty to
pass on the legacy and keep the memories of our
Canadian Veterans alive.

Holiday Musicals
Holiday Musicals are scheduled for December 8, 10, 15, & 17. Primary division (K
3) will be on stage on December 8 & 10. Elementary students are scheduled for
December 15 & 17. Classes of children performing on the respective nights are as
