AN ACT Relating to: The allocation of $922.50 (nine hundred, twenty-two dollars) from the Student
Events Pool (6272-0200-03) for Heartsong of Charging Elk where exhibits will take place on March 5-
April 30, and lecture series and concert on March 22-26, 2010.

STATEMENT OF FACT: Advertisements will read “Co-sponsored by ASWSUV” in 14-point font or


font equal to the average size lettering on the advertisement, for all advertising for the event(s) as
required by ASWSUV By-Laws (260.12). All advertisements shall be approved by the Public
Relations Director prior to distribution (260.13).
The purpose of this event is to increase student involvement, by proposing the following: drum
performances, exhibits, and lectures. This event explores the themes of displacement, intercultural
collision and accommodation in Welch’s brilliant last novel about Lakota warriors transported to France
in the late 19th century.
