BCC Intensive English Program Grade Seven

Course Syllabus for Semester 2 / 2015-2016


Course Objectives:
This course is an outcomes-based, English language enrichment course designed to
develop and consolidate students skills in the areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading
and Writing. Specific course objectives include:

To encourage students to be active and constructive in their own learning, using


English as a tool to create meaning, seek knowledge, and to interact effectively
with others in the school context and in the broader community.
To extend students competence and confidence in using English in a range of
demanding and challenging contexts.
To integrate learning English with other areas of the College curriculum.
To encourage students to become responsible, independent, reflective learners.
To promote an atmosphere of collaboration and co-operation amongst students.

Teaching Learning Materials and Resources
Student coursebook; workbook; support and assistance of Thai Language Teachers;
flashcards; audio cassettes; supplementary video cassettes; materials to complete
projects and activities (construction paper, coloured markers, paint etc); overhead
projector; television; video; cassette/CD player.
