Company Profile
Wentworth Institute of Technology in an institution of higher learning that was founded in 1904.
The Wentworth for most of its existence was mainly an engineering school, but in recent decades
has become known for their management majors as well. Wentworth now offers a variety of
major from their 4 colleges as follows: College of Architecture, Design & Construction
Management, College of Arts & Sciences, College of Engineering & Technology, College of
Professional & Continuing Education.
Vision: Wentworths vision for the future is to become nationally recognized as the university of
choice for externally-collaborative, project-based, interdisciplinary learning.
Mission: Wentworth's core purpose and mission is to empower, inspire and innovate through
experiential learning.
Department of Technology Services:
Our project will be carried out with conjuction with DTS as our sponsor. This project will look at
the issues and business needs that DTS is having for their Identity and Access Management
project.The Division of Technology Services supports all aspects of technology at the Institute.
The division has five departments: Network Services, Laptop Services, User Services/Media
Services, Web Services and Enterprise Applications.
DTS Mission
1. Enable students to learn more effectively.
2. Enable WIT to operate in an efficient and effective manner.
3. Prepare students for a future in which information technologies will play an
increasingly significant role in both their personal and professional lives.
4. Enable WIT to reach out to the community in support of the various needs of our
constituents.
5. Enable WIT to achieve a competitive advantage in attracting students, faculty and
staff.
