December Newsletter
Dear Parents,
The Thanksgiving Program was wonderful and our own mini
feast was a great hit! Our success in the classroom has so
much to do with parents help and support.
Having grandparents visit is such a treat for the students
and one of my favorite days.
Another busy month is ahead! Our curriculum focus will be on
Mexico and South America. We will continue our daily work in
phonics, place value (ones and tens) and we will be enjoying many
holiday activities. This group is working very hard and they are
becoming quite independent in their work habits! Way to Go!
Instead of a class Holiday Party the Kindergarten classes will watch a
movie on campus. (Willy the Sparrow, Fri. Dec.18th 10:30-11:45)
This year the kindergarten classes will have a Bake Sale to support
needy families qualified through The Salvation Army. Our class will
be selling on Tuesday Dec.8th. I am requesting help from parents.
We will bake some in the room but I would like for each child to bring
baked goods on Tuesday Dec. 8th. Cookies, brownies and cupcakes
sell the best. Please put each item in a small baggie. (One cupcake
or brownie and 2 or 3 cookies per bag) We sell each bag for 50cents.
This sale will be in the Early Childhood Building between 11:00-11:45.
We will go in shifts so I will need two parents to help. Ask me if you
have any questions.
Break Dec. 20th-Jan.2nd (classes resume Jan.3rd.)
Have a joyous holiday season!
Mrs. Godwin
