OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

Dear Parents,

I have enjoyed getting to know you and your child over the last few
weeks.
Our first month of school has been delightful! Dad's Day is such a
great day!!
We all appreciate our Dad's and enjoy sharing our school with them.
Our curriculum units this month will include: Arachnids, Insects,
autumn, Pumpkin
activities, Oceans, and Rhymes.
This is a very busy month so here we go!
Fri. Oct.7th No school a.m. (in-service) p.m.
school starts at 12:15(All School Picnic)
Tues. Oct.11th &Weds. Oct.12th Parent visitation
days. Times between ( 8:30-10:00) or ( 12:30-2:00)
Thurs. Oct.13th
Bus Field Trip to AppleJacks
(approx. 8:30-approx. 11:00)
Fri. Oct. 28th Mother Goose Parade

The fall party will be on Friday, Oct 28th, after the

Mother Goose Parade.
I will have a sign-up sheet posted outside if you would like to
volunteer to bring something. Our "Mother Goose" costume parade
will be at about 8:30am. Please bring students to school in
costume. Send a change of clothes in a grocery sack if needed!
Students are asked to dress as a character from a Mother Goose
rhyme. I am sure there are some sports characters in a rhyme
somewhere.
A sign-up sheet for Parent-teacher conferences will be posted
soon! If you have a preference of time of day please let
me know, via note or directly.
Conferences will be scheduled on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 31st and
Nov. 1st.
There will be no school on those days.
The whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity
of young minds.
