Kidz & Youth @ St Andrews May 2012 Hi all Wow what a month April was!

We had an awesome Easter break with some amazing activities and performers. Term two has already started with a bang as we launched Noahs Ark Cafe & Craft Tuesdays, our brand session for tiny tots & toddlers every Tuesday from 9.30-11.00am. April in review! We kicked off with Holy week & Palm Sunday getting messy in Sunday school with palm finger printing and a game of pin the tail on the donkey well Jesus did enter Jerusalem on a donkey!! Easter Sunday was awesome and we heard stories, sang some songs & Sienna read us the Easter jelly bean prayer we all got to eat jelly beans too, mmmm! Here it is just in case you didnt get a copy, best read with coloured jelly beans! Jesus Jelly Bean prayer Red is for the blood He gave, Green is for the grass He made, Yellow for the sun so bright, Orange for the edge of night Black is for the sins he paid, White is for the grace He gave. Purple for the hour of sorrow, Pink is for the new tomorrow. The children also had fun after the service with a very fast paced Easter egg treasure hunt the odd bruise here or there but nothing serious!! Then it was time for the Easter events in the Parish hall with local author Holly Gooch kicking off on Friday 13th April huge thanks goes out to her for an amazing job of storytelling and helping the children create craft art works. 3SA was a good time all round on Sunday 15th April as we introduced new Storyteller, Lindsey who told us a lovely story One Winters Day by Christina Butler; activities included the human knot game, cooking and discussion, all with a lovely message of team work, sharing & community. Huge thanks to the 3SA team who support such a great intergenerational service each month. Friday 20th April saw the last of our childrens holiday events with Nelson singer songwriter Kath Bee who helped us craft a lovely chorus for a Plimmerton ditty; Plimmerton (clap, clap) By the Sea (clap, clap) A place for me (clap, clap) And my family (clap, clap) Apparently it is now my responsibility to help craft the rest of the song any help would be much appreciated!!
