PURPOSE
The vision for this class is...
to cultivate the physical, cognitive, and emotional exploration and
growth of each child; to create a community of strong relationships
founded on respect and care for one another with the idea that we
are all interconnected
The mission for this class is...
to provide children with a strong understanding of themselves, their
peers, the adults in their lives, and the interconnectedness of the
community; to create a community that is accepting of all aspects of
ones identity including race, class, gender, sexuality, and ability; to
facilitate the development of a critical lens, and a critical
understanding of the spectrum of fair to unfair; to promote intrinsic
motivation in the child to achieve academically
