speakers were Andrea Cobble,
who gave a wonderful presentation about Bali, Indonesia.
Then Cecil Swensons very animated presentation was about
United Arab Emirates and Jeff
Rasts presentation was about
Turkey. Each of the presenters
was dressed in the traditional
costume of the country they
talked about.

Cultural Event was held
Nov. 18, 2015
Masters of Ceremony for the Cultural Celebration were Drew Hallowell and
Bailey Peterson.
Staff and student costume contest
winners were: Krysta Huling, Ginny
Ganguet, Candice Smith, Drew Hallowell,
Bailey Peterson, and Tanner Wolf.
Mrs. Candice Smiths Third Grade
Class opened the program performing a St.
Lucias Celebration Skit and a dance from
Sweden. The children were all dressed in
Swedish costumes carrying candles as they
entered the gym in the dark.
Mrs. Krysta Hulings Kindergarten
Class sang Edelweiss and they were dressed
in German outfits.
Mrs. Kristi Olsens First Grade
Class dressed in safari hats sang the song
Jambo and told stories about their cardboard masks of animals from Zimbabwe.

Each
h a d
power point presentations with music and
action videos. There
were displays, informative posters, pictures, clothing, artifacts, and various other
items that represented
each of the countries.

Mrs. Suzanne Vances 6th Grade Music Class played a


Chinese SongSakura Sakura.
Mr. Randy Jewetts Seventh Grade Class performed a play
about Christopher Columbus and some of
his students made posters telling about Russia.
Other Elementary Classes wore hats from
their chosen countries:
Mrs. Ginny
Ganguets Second Grade Class dressed in
French Berets; Mrs. Missy Doramus
Fourth Grade Class wore hats from Belize;
and Ms Bridgett Smiths Fifth Grade Class
wore Chinese hats
There were displays and posters about various countries around
the world for viewing. There was a wonderful 21 foot display of China,
Sweden, Japan, France, and Switzerland with information about those
countries with items of clothing and
other artifacts from those countries.

The Camas County PTO made popcorn balls for all students and all elementary students received
Curl Up With Classics bookmarks
