Here are
some things to keep in mind as you prepare for the 5K in Dedham, MA.
Where:
Avery Elementary School/Dedham High School Track Area
336 High St Dedham, MA 02026
When:
Plan to arrive between 8:30am and 9:30am- all of the fun starts at 8:30am
Wear:
The weather looks nice (high 40s and sunny!) but bring layers
-Running pants
-Short sleeve shirt -
GOTR shirt
-Long sleeve shirt
-Gloves/Mittens/Hat
-Jacket
-Fun hair bands/headbands
Breakfast:
The race begins at 10am. We recommend that girls
eat a light breakfast
(ex.
toast with peanut butter or fruit or oatmeal) before you leave home.
Snacks:
Bring healthy snacks (well have some too):
-Fruit: Bananas, Oranges
-Granola Bars
-Trail Mix
-
Full Water Bottle
Timeline:
-8:00-
Coaches arrive at Avery Elementary School
-8:30-
Girls can start arriving and the fun begins!
-9:40-
Girls and coaches meet a designated spot
-9:50-
Team stretch and pump up
-10:00
- Race starts in three waves (Runners, Runner/Walkers, Walkers)
-
11:00ish-
Find team at the designated meeting spot after finishing the race
