PAST CONTINUOUS
It describes an action
or event that was in
progress in the past,
specially when
talking about stories.
Its a temporary or
unfinished action.

SIMPLE PAST
It is used to talk
about shorter and
completed events in
the past.
Its a finished,
completed action.
