in creative writing. Students will be able to express and demonstrate their aptitude orally and in writing.

Given writing prompts, eleventh and twelfth grade students will demonstrate their abilities to Show, not
Tell in a creative writing situation. Students will give information about the setting, characters, etc.
through explanation rather than telling the reader the full story.

Step 3Learning Plan


Learning activities (step by step from start to finish, detailed enough for another teacher to follow)
Video will be made. Students will demonstrate in class their abilities to use the Show, dont Tell style of
writing. Prompts will be made for students. Video will consist of an explanation of Show, dont Tell,
then will consist of examples of bad writing followed by good writing.
