Advert write up-Content, Structure

and Techniques used.
Our Advert was for 007 so we choose to do a Bond Vs Vesper advert, this
was liked by the audience because people felt it was associated with
James Bond.
We cut out the college student part as our audience felt that it drew away
from James Bond and made the advert comic which is what we were
trying to avoid.
We added a M contacting 007 scene as this made the advert feel more like
a Bond film.
The main camera we used was mounted on a glide cam which gave it a
Bond look.
We also used a black and white effect to create the advert as it looked like
some of the previous 007 fragrance adverts and we wanted to keep this
feeling of Bond.

Advert write up-Content,

Structure and Techniques used
continued
Our advert was a suave advert as this is the key part of Bonds
personality. We did this by using a black and white effect.
The main ASA regulation codes that we thought we would be
risking violating would be 3.1and 11.3
3.1- We did not mislead as we never said you will become Bond
or this will stop a lady stabbing you which could be taken from
this advert by some viewers.
11.3- we did not tell people to stop all other treatment in favor of
the product.
The emotional response to our advert was a positive reaction as
many people said it felt like a Bond.

Comparisons with other adverts

The Main comparison we can make is the 007 fragrance
advert that is on telly.
James Bond 007,. James Bond 007 Fragrance For Men TV
Ad. 2015. Web. Oct 8 2012.
The main similarity is that they try to achieve the suave
aspect of Bonds personality through a use of black and
white effects but they have more colour seeped in than
we did.
However this advert had fast cars and a boat which we
could not do as we are limited by our demographic as
well as our limited budget which would not cover cars or
boats.

Final review-Fitness for

purpose
Our average feedback on the fitness for purpose for our
advert was 9 out of 10.
I think we got this as we did capture the essence of Bond
however we did not have access to many Bond elements
such as fast cars and a bond villain.
However actions such as the receiving orders and the Bond
charm did come across in the advert through creative editing
and exalent acting.
Next time I would film in a green screen to allow us to create
more bond esk features such as a car chase or explosions as I
think this would fit the bond theme better

Appropriateness for target

audience
Are average score for the appropriateness for the target
audience was 8 out of 10
I think we scored this was because we had no clear target
audience and this made it hard for us to create an advert that
would be aimed at a target audience as we had no clear idea
of what we wanted to put across.
However I think the Bond colour theme of black and white
helped to make our advert fit a target audience.
Next time would improve the college student part at the start
as I think if we had got this section right it would have given
us a obvious target audience for the advert.

Final advert compared to original

intentions
Our advert completely changed from our original concept as we
wanted to have a college student feel like James Bond when he put
on the fragrance but this was difficult to get across and on our 3 edit
we decided that it was to difficult to explain so we cut it out in place
for our M contacting 007 scene. Also we changed from the Body Shop
fragrance to the 007 fragrance.
However our new concept of the Bond VS Vesper was more
interesting and enjoyable to film in place of our previous concept
Next time I would keep the Bond theme and not have the college
student concept as I think if we had done this at the start we could of
produced a better advert. Also I would start with the 007 fragrance
not the Body Shop as it caused disagreement within our group.

Effectiveness of
techniques
Our average score for the effectiveness of techniques
was 8 out of 10.
I think we got this score because of the poor camera
work on two of the shots, this meant that the smooth,
sophisticated and suave effect we wanted to create was
broken and meant that the Bond mood was lost. Also
the
However the rest of the advert was filmed perfectly and
kept the suave effect we wanted to achieve.
Next time I would use the steady cam much more
effectively and would make sure that all the shots are in
focus.

Clarity of
Communication
Our average score for the clarity of communication was
a 9 out of 10
I think we got this score because the Bond feeling the
advert was very clear and came across very well, we did
this by using a steady cam and black and white colour
correction as both are associated with bond.
However I dont think we got a 10 on average because
of the shaky shots and blurred shots and because of the
black and white being to dark in some places.
Next time I would make sure all the shots are clear and
that the shots aren't to dark.

Impact of the
work
Our Average for the impact of the work was a 9 out of
10.
I think we achieved this score because the majority of
the shots were perfect and the sound track fitted well
for most of the advert.
However some of the shots were shaky which meant
that the work looked sloppy. Also the soundtrack did not
fit perfectly with the advert and could have been fitted
to create a greater impact for the work.
Next time I would make sure all of the shots are perfect

Aesthetic Qualities
Our Average on the aesthetic qualities of the advert was a 9
out of 10.
I think we achieved this because we got the costume perfect
black and white suit, the actors were cast to fit their roles and
the acting was perfect George managed to achieve the
bond persona perfectly and acted the part well.
However we did get the font slightly wrong and it did look out
of place and the poor camera work did slightly ruin the look
of the advert.
Next time I would make sure the shots were perfect and I
would make sure the font looked the part.

What I would do next

time
Next time I would start with a Bond theme and not have a college
student part. I think that if we had removed the college student
angle from the start we would have been able to create a brilliant
advert that would have scored 9s or 10 on every thing.
Also I would use a green screen to create a car arriving as I think
this would be closer to the Bond image we were trying to create
because Bond is associated with fast cars.
Finally I would make sure all the shots are perfect and not shaky
or distorted or to dark using premiere Pro and After effects to
deal with some of the feedback and improve our advert.
