Dear Parents or Guardians of and AMAZING scholar,
My name is Ms. Casandra Gurau. The students refer to me as Ms. G. It brings
me such great joy to let you know that I have been given the amazing opportunity
to be your childs new 8th grade science teacher. This academic school year seems
to have been a year full of changes. In the coming semester I look forward to not
only teach your students but to also learn from them as well. There have been a
number of changes that have taken place, but I am hoping that together we can
ensure that your amazing scholars will pass my class and promote to high school
this coming spring.
I have sent home a syllabus with your students of what they are to expect in
the classroom and my exceptions of them. Please have your student share this with
you. I also have the syllabus and my exceptions of students available on our class

Given the changes that have taken place in your childs class, I want to in the
coming weeks sit down and talk to each and everyone of you. I understand that for
some working parents that is just not possible so even a quick call or email will be
appreciated. Along with getting to know these amazing scholars, I want to get to
know their parents or guardians as well. Please have your student return the bottom
portion of this letter to class by January 15, 2016.
