Dear Parents,

We are at the threshold of the new academic year 2020-2021 and I welcome you to CARMEL
STARS Pre-Primary and CARMEL TERESA SCHOOL at Whitefield which is run by the Carmelite
Sisters of St. Teresa (CSST) Bangalore.

I would like to thank you for choosing our school for your child’s education. I am looking
forward to a fruitful, successful year. With your co-operation, and our sincere effort, and above
all with God’s guidance and help, I am sure we will be able to achieve our goal.

Every person, according to one’s religion, follows the path taught by her/his faith to attain
salvation. For Christians (I am addressing the Catholics in particular) this week is very
important. We call it ‘HOLY WEEK’- a time to prepare spiritually for Easter - the triumphant
victory over death. Unfortunately, this year due to the lockdown all the Churches are closed
and the special Holy Week Services cannot be held. We are all homebound, but we can find
some quiet time during Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday to read and reflect upon the
passion, death and resurrection of Jesus and what it means for each one of us as followers of
Jesus and its impact on our lives. May you have a happy Easter and live the new life of Easter.

I hope you are staying safe and healthy during this time of unforeseen lockdown due to Covid
19. Don’t be disappointed instead consider this time as family time. You may not get again a
time like this to spend with your beloved ones. If the invisible virus can scare you then the
invisible GOD has the power to save you. So trust in these words and face the situation
positively. Even if the government gives a short break in the lockdown, make sure you stay safe
and avoid gatherings and functions at least for three months. It will be good for the family, and
for the society.

We don't know for certain how long the schools will remain closed. We sincerely hope that we
can get back to our normal routine at least in a few more weeks. We had informed the parents
of 2019-20 academic year that the school will recommence in June. However now we are
uncertain whether everything will go as we have planned. The final decision will be made once
we hear from the education department. So please pray and follow the precautions needed to
be taken to fight against the pandemic and stay healthy. Hopefully things will get better soon
and we will learn to respect and coexist with nature again. Try to be positive with a lot of
creativity and quality family time which is the only medicine at the moment. Help your children
in reading and writing too.

The supply of uniforms, books and bag will also be delayed due to this lockdown. But don’t
panic, you will have them before we begin the new academic year. Prior to the reopening of the
school, there will be a Parent Orientation which is mandatory for all the parents.
Later, Parent/Teacher orientations also will be held. You will be informed the dates for these
only after we get the instructions from the education department about the reopening of the
school for the new academic year.

Payment Details:

Many of you had been calling me and sending me messages requesting information regarding
the fees and payment details. Therefore I have given below the fee structure and bank details.

School fees for Grades Pre-K, LKG & UKG: Rs 68000/ for the year - payable in two equal
installments.

Please note: The above fees is excluding of books, uniforms and School bags.

Important: Please make sure, you give your child’s name and class in the ‘remarks’ section. If
not it will be very difficult for us to issue the receipt.

Please follow the Bank details: You can do online transferring (NEFT). No cash please.

Water Bottles: Thermal - No plastic bottles, please. This colour can be

in silver too.
