2G/3G Cellphone Activity Detector

Introduction

Students who cannot pay much attention in class because of texting is some of the
teachers and professors problems, especially in elementary or high school. With this
device the teacher or professor will know if there is someone who is using their
cellphone to communicate by call or send messages. It will also be useful during
exams for it will limit the students in texting each other for answers because the
teacher or professor will know if the circuits LED light up or if the buzzer makes
noise.

Scope and Delimitation

1. To create a circuit that will react whenever there is a cellphone is calling or


sending a message.
2. To notify teachers or professors if there is a cellphone communication that is
occurring.

The circuit will be able to detect cellphone communication activity within about 1 to
3 meters and it will produce noise using a buzzer. An LED will also be in the circuit in
case the buzzer fails to activate, signaling that there a sending, receiving, or calling
that is happening.
The range will only be limited to the mentioned distance and will not extend any
further. The output, which is the LED and the buzzer, are the only output of the
circuit. It will be battery powered.

IV.

Significance

The device will be useful for teachers and professors alike for it will make them sure
that there will be no students that will communicate with each other by cellphone or
smartphone devices during examination period.
