Lansing Field Trip Checklist

1. While at home:
Leave your planner and homework folder at home for the day of the field trip
Pack a camera, if you want (Flash must be turned off)
Leave all electronics at home (except for a device you will use to take photos)
Put your snack into your backpack (include a drink)
Pack your lunch (Include a drink that is not the same one that is in your backpack. You
will not be able to get into your backpack during lunchtime because it will be on the bus.)
Make sure that your lunch and drink are labeled with your name
2. Get to school at or before 6:50 AM.
3. When you get to school:
Come into the classroom.
Hang your backpack on your chair. (You should have a snack and a drink inside your
backpack. Also, you may have a camera in your backpack. Its okay if you pack a book or
notebook to use while on the bus.)
Leave your coat on.
Put your lunch into the recycling bin. (The bin will be stored in the compartment under
the bus while we drive and will be taken into the Capitol Building at lunchtime. Make
sure that you have included a drink with your lunch. You will not be able to get to the
drink thats in your backpack during lunchtime since it will be on the bus.)
Use the restroom & get a drink (Everybody try!)
Sit down and remain in your seat until we load the bus. (Work on the word search while
waiting.)
4. When we line up to get on the bus:
Make sure your lunch (with a drink) is inside the recycle bin.
Make sure that you have your coat on.
Bring your backpack with you (It will stay on the bus while we are inside the Capitol
Building and Museum.)
