HOMEWORK 2
Due September 29 (Tuesday), 2015
1. [R] Ex. 2.2 (The set of all algebraic numbers is countable).
2. [A] Ex. 2.13 (every infinite set contains a proper subset of the same cardinality).
3. [A] Ex. 2.17 (R and the set of all real-valued functions on R).
4. [A] Ex. 2.20.
5. (Cantors Theorem) Let S be any non-empty set and P(S) (or 2S ) the set of
all subsets of S, which is called the power set of S.
