Our Experiment is Night and Day

Observation

We observed that seeds need water and sunlight to grow big and strong.

Question

Can plants grow without sunlight??? If I plant a plant in the shade where the sun
does not shine will it grow???

Hypothesis
We predict that seeds cannot grow without sunlight.

Clear Cups
Seeds
Labels
Markers

Fill cups with soil.

Label cups Night/Day.
Plant lentil seeds in each cup.
Place one at a window and the other in a black box.
Water each cup every other day.
Check progress every other day.

Analyze

We found that both plants grew. The night plant grew more, but it had no color.

Conclusion

(Fatima)

We found that our hypothesis was not correct. The plant did grow without sunlight.
