Our Experiment is The Perfect Bed

Observation

In science class we observed that the roots of a plant are very important because
it holds the plant firm in the soil bed.

Question

(Yulissa)

Can plants grow in a bed that is not soil??? Can a plant grow if it is planted in sand
or in rocks???

Hypothesis

(Abril)

We believe that plants can grow in most beds including rocks and sand.

Water

Procedure

Clear Cups
Seeds
Labels
Markers

Fill cups with soil, sand and rocks


Label each cup.
Plant lentil seeds in each cup
Water each cup every other day.
Check progress every other day.

Analyze

We found that our plants grew in all beds including soil, sand, and rocks.

Conclusion

We found that our hypothesis was correct. The plants did grow in all three beds.
