Lesson Plan – Week 27 (Monday)

BLOCKS OF TIME
Kindergarten

I. Learning Objectives

At the end of the lesson, pupils are expected to:

1. Pagpapaunlad ng Sosyo-Emosyunal at Kakayahang Makipamuhay


a. Naisakikilos ang sariling kakayahan sa iba’t ibang paraan, hal. pag-awit, pagsayaw, at
iba pa (SEKPSE-If-2).
2. Kagandahang-Asal
a. Napagsisikapang matapos ang sinimulang gawain sa itinakdang oras (KAKPS-00-1).
3. Kalusugang Pisikal at Pagpapaunlad sa Kakayahang Motor
a. Naisasagawa ang kasanayang pagpilas/ paggupit/ pagdikit ng papel (KPKFM-00-1.1).
b. Naisasagawa ang kasanayang pagmomolde ng luwad o clay (KPKFM-00-1.5).
4. Sining
a. Nakagagawa ng modelo ng mga pangkaraniwang bagay sa paligid (SKMP-00-3).
b. Nakapagdidikit ng iba’t ibang hugis na may iba’t ibang tekstura (SKMP-00-4).
c. Nakapagmomolde ng luwad o clay sa nais na anyo (SKMP-00-6).
d. Nakaguguhit, nakapagpipinta at nakapagkukulay ng iba’t ibang bagay o gawain (mga
hayop) (SKMP-00-2).
5. Mathematics
a. Read and write numerals 0 to 10 (MKC-00-3).
6. Understanding of the Physical and Natural Environment
a. Name common animals (PNEKA-Ie-1).
b. Observe, describe, and examine common animals using their senses (PNEKA-IIIh-2).
7. Language, Literacy, and Communication
a. Tell who/ what is producing a given sound (LLKAPD-Ie-2).

II. Subject Matter

a. Content Focus: There are different kinds of animals


b. Main Topic: Animals live on land.
c. Reference: National Kindergarten Curriculum Guide 2011 (Week 27, Day 1) and Standards
and Competencies for Five-Year-Old Filipino Children (May 2016)
d. Materials: paper plates, glue, cardboard or construction paper, scissors, markers, rubber bands,
½ or ¼ manila paper, play dough, several boxes of popsicle sticks, paper and pencil,
piece of cloth as big as man’s handkerchief.

III. Procedure

5. Message: There are different kinds of animals. Some animals live only on land.
6. Motive Question:
What are the animals mentioned in the song? Where do animals live?
7. Values Formation:
What would you do if you see animals that are sick or doesn’t have home? How
would you respond to those animals?

Procedure:
1. Have children think of animals that
live on land.
2. Let them draw each animal on 1/8
bond or construction paper.
3. Have them glue these on the manila
paper.

1. Ask each child to choose what

2. Brainstorm what parts will be

3. Each child pastes all of the parts of
an animal face on the paper plate.
4. Each child talks about it and shows it
to the class.

Bugtungan: “Mga Hayop sa Paligid”/ (Animals live on Land)
Give some riddle (bugtong) questions to the pupils and let them answer the riddle
questions (teacher will compose additional riddle for enrichment).

e. Supervised Recess (8:45-9:00) (2:15-2:30)


Pray. Wash your hands properly. Do not talk when your mouth is full. Throw your
garbage in the trash can.
f. Quiet Time (9:00-9:10) (2:30-2:40)
Children have the time to rest.
g. Stories/Rhymes/Poems/Songs (9:10-9:25) (2:40-2:55)

Calling Kittens
A blindfolded child pretends to be the mother cat. All the remaining players are kittens.
The mother cat calls her kittens by saying, “Meow, meow, come home to mother”. The kittens
run and try to tag mother cat. The mother cat tries to catch a kitten. The kitten that gets caught
becomes the next blind-folded “mother cat”.
