ACTIVITY 5.

1 Managing Time,Space and Learning Resources

OBSERVE
1. As you observe the class, look into the characterisctics of the learners.
Note their ages.
Those who are in the kindergaten are all in five years of age. These are
the chareacteristics of the learners:
 Cognitive- they have magical thinking and broad imaginations , they are
critical thinkers in their way. But in terms of the lessons majority of
them are slow learners.
 Physical and Psychomotor- Small body appearance (head, legs, arms),
the fine and motor skills like eye-hand coordination tasks such as
sewing, throwing a ball, typing, operating a lathe, and playing a
trombone, walking and jumping are developed.
 Social- Emotional- everyone has their own group of friends. Thay are
too friendly but after an hour or a minute they all have
misunderstanding. Someone is easy to cry someone is too nerdy and
loner.

2. How many boys are there. How many girls

In the morning class of Teacher Rosellia , there are 11 boys and 7 girls .

3. Focus on their behavior. Are they already able to manage their own
behavior.
Some are able to manage their behavior but most of them are not.

4. Can the learners already work independently.

Some can already work independently but most of them are not and able
and need to be one-on-one and need help of teacher to understand what to
do .

5. Describe their span attention.

We all know that age of five and in the level of preschoolers thay have a
short span attention. We should not stick on one activity that made them
boring.
ANALYZE
1. Are these areas in the classroom for specific purposes. Describe these
areas. Will it make a different if these areas for sdpecific purposes are
not present.
From the photos in Learning Episode 1, all of them have specific purposes.
Every each of those areas have a big role and impact that helps in
growing , development and learning of the students where they can be
aware, knowledgeable and will contribute to them as a student.

2. Are there rules and procedures posted in the room. List them down. Do
these rules reinforce positive behavior.
Yes . There are only few rules that are posted in the room. It is about
the Safety reminders.Like Washing hands, use alcohol, 1 meter distance ,
wear mask and where your trash to be throw. These simple rules can
reinforce positive behavior. There are also rules that are not posted in
the room yet they are being applied in the room that also reinforce
positive behavior.

3. Did the students participate in the making the classrooms rules. What is
the effect of classroom rule-making on the students behavior.
When I ask Teacher Rosellia , children are not able to participate in
making the classroom rules. These are Teachers made.

REFLECT
1. Why do you need to enforce positive discipline.
As a future Teacher , Positive discipline ise very needed it helps children
succeed, gives them the information they need to learn and supports their
development. It respects children's right to healthy development,
protection from violence and active participation in their learning. Also, as a
teacher it will be easier for me to enfororce and make classroom
management and create an appropriate Learning environment with them
