APPOINTMENT OF MS. NANA WANJIKU GECAGA AS ACTING
MANAGING DIRECTOR, KICC
The Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Tourism Hon. Najib
Balala has appointed Ms. Nana Gecaga as Acting Managing
Director, Kenyatta International Convention Centre ( KICC)
with effect from 1st April 2016.
Prior to her appointment, Ms. Gecaga worked as
Marketing and Special Programmes advisor to the Cabinet
Secretary having been seconded from the KICC where she
worked as Head of Marketing .
Having previously worked with international firms on
various projects aimed at marketing Kenya globally, she
has been involved in bringing international celebrities to
the country to showcase Kenyas tourism products
including conference tourism . In 2009, Ms. Gecaga was
instrumental in securing the MTV AFRICA Music awards
held in Kenya that earned the country a lot of fame locally
and internationally .
Ms. Gecaga has a degree in Marketing from the
American Intercontinental University , London and a
wealth of experience in PR and Marketing fields
Her appointment will remain in force until the position is
competitively and substantially filled.
