A Triangle a closed figure made up of 3 line segments.

An Equilateral Triangle is a triangle made up of 3 CONGRUENT sides.

An Isosceles Triangle has 3 line segments with 2 CONGRUENT sides.

A Scalene Triangle is made up of 3 line segments with different lengths.

A Right Triangle has a 90 degrees angle.

A= 90 B= 45 C= 45

An Obtuse Triangle has an angle is greater than 90 degrees.

An Acute Triangle has 3 angles which ALL measure less than 90 degrees.

All Equilateral are Isosceles. An Equilateral and Isosceles Triangle overlap because when
you draw an equilateral triangle, it will automatically be classified as an isosceles triangle
since they BOTH have 2 congruent sides and an Equilateral is made up of 3 congruent
sides.
Equilateral-Isosceles Triangle
a

An Equilateral Triangle is an Acute Triangle because an Equilateral Triangle has 3

congruent sides so ALL the angles measure 60 degrees to equal 180 degrees.
Equilateral-Acute Triangle

An Obtuse, Right, and Acute Triangles could ALL be Scalene Triangles because their
lines segments could be made up with 3 different lengths. Even though they are all made
up with different lengths, it will not affect their angle measurements.
Obtuse <A= 95, <B= 45
<C= 40

Right <A= 90 , <C= 50

<B= 30

Acute

<A=80, <C=40,
<B=60

An Obtuse, Right, and Acute Triangles could ALL be Isosceles Triangles because they
could ALL have 2 CONGRUENT sides.
Obtuse

<A=110, <B=35
<C=35

Right

<A=90, <B=45
<C=45

Acute

<A=40, <B=70
<C=70
