Letter to Parents
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I would like to first start off by introducing myself. My name is Lara Self
and I am so excited to be your students teacher for the upcoming year! I am a
recent graduate of Missouri State University and have my Bachelors Degree in
Special Education. I have 2 children, coach basketball and volleyball, love the
outdoors and was born and raised in Osceola, Missouri. I think it is very important
to have open communication throughout the year with my students parents
because I believe that you are the motivating force that can push them to be the
best they can be. I look forward to teaching them things such as how to fill out
college applications, how to convey themselves in a job interview, and so much
more. I will be sending home frequent letters and homework to allow constant
communication in all areas of academics. A few strategies that might help are
parent/student meetings, helping keep the student organized throughout the year,
and most importantly maintaining constant motivation throughout the year. I look
forward to getting to know your child and you this year. Thank you.
