Welcome to Biology
Dear Parent or Guardian,

My name is Mrs. Flores and I will be your child’s Biology teacher this year. I
look forward to getting to know each of the students and watching them grow
throughout the year. I hope you all have had a fun, restful summer and are ready
for the year to start! I absolutely love teaching and I am 100% committed to their
education! In this class we will be doing a variety of different projects, labs and
hands on learning. I can’t wait to get started!

I would like to share some of my basic classroom rules so that you all are
aware as are the students. First and foremost, I expect students to do their Best
at all times. Secondly, treat everyone with respect, be silent when others are
talking and I expect all student to be on time with all of their materials in hand and
ready to start the day. Homework will be assigned throughout the week and will be
due the very next school day. Homework will be given a completion grade and is
worth 10% of their total grade along with Labs 15%, Quizzes 15%, Test 30% and
Projects 30%. I will be posting on my website much more detail for your viewing.
