Is the novel based upon the workings of the heart (meant to affect you emotionally) or of the mind
(meant to make you think)? Explain why using at least three (3) example from the novel.
I think the novel is based in both the heart and the mind. Thats because the book make you think
about all the difficult things that the immigrants have to deal with but also makes you feel identify
and have some sympathy to the immigrants because of her situation. Its a very good book in this
regard because it try to appeal to both your mind and you heart, and thats a very difficult thing to
do for a book.
