LAND CONVERSION

Land Conversion is changing the status of land from agriculture to Non-agriculture.

SOLUTIONS
Designate certain areas for crops and wildlife and certain areas for city life.
More ecofriendly buildings.
Build more wildlife bridges and tunnels through highways.
COST
Civilizations will begin to over crowd if we cannot expand and building more ecofriendly
buildings will begin to cost more money.
Wildlife bridges will take time and create delays for people trying to use the highway.
SOCIAL / CULTURAL IMPACTS
More traffic on highways would result from construction on the rods to create the tunnels
and bridges which could make people want to avoid them.
Could create more jobs for construction workers and help economy.
CRITERIA
There would need to be workers to build the tunnels, bridges, and new buildings.
Money needs to be provided for the projects to happen.
Resources
PRACTICALITY
The solution of designating areas for wildlife and building bridges, tunnels, and new,
ecofriendly, buildings is very practical because it all can be done in a matter of time.
ELIMINATE OR REDUCE?
Our solution just reduces the impact because there is no way to completely eliminate it,
the solution will reduce losing habitats, habitat fragmentation, and harmful urbanization.
WHERE WILL THE SOLUTION BE IN 20-50 YEARS?
Our solution will take a lot of time to get the new laws in place and to get the money,
resources, and workers. Through 20 years, some places will be done with the construction
and others will still be working.
