I. TITLE

CLEAN-UP DRIVE: OPLAN LINIS KANAL PARA IWAS BAHA

INTRODUCTION

Environmental sustainability contributes in the prevention of global warming and climate


change and cleaning is a good example of environmental stewardship. The importance of
environmental cleanliness in maintaining a clean and green environment cannot be overstated.
However, cleaning is a simple yet efficient way to enhance a healthy environment.
Drainage systems are in place to remove the excess water in development. This could be
floodwater, rainwater, and different kinds of run off. Drainage systems are also in place to
remove wastewater effectively, and this is referred to as a sewer system. Not having a proper
drainage system in place will result in flooding of low-lying areas, thereby causing property
damage and health risks.
Therefore, the proponent of this project would like to conduct a cleanup drive specifically
the cleaning of the drainage canal to mitigate the times of clogging. This kind of program and
project minimize its long-term effect to the environment.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The study aims to conduct a clean-up drive operation at Brgy. Bilucao Sampaloc,
Quezon.
In particular, it aims to provide answers to the following questions:
1. What is the importance of having a clean and proper drainage system?
2. How beneficial it is to the residents of Brgy. Bilucao?

OBJECTIVES

1. To keep every drainage canal clean and well maintained.


2. Dedicate efforts for the cleanliness of the community.
3. Identify the importance of maintaining cleanliness.
4. Promoting environmental awareness.
PROJECT PROPONENTS

Project Presenter: Rey Julius P. Villaverde

Prospective Participants/ Clientele:

Residents of Brgy. Bilucao Sampaloc, Quezon

Date and Venue:

The operation will be held every Saturday at 1 pm to 5 pm from March 5 to March 19, 2022. It
will run an estimated time of 5 hours to be done expectedly at 5:00 pm. This activity will take
place at Brgy. Bilucao Sampaloc, Quezon.

Method

In order to achieve the objectives of the project, the proponent will seek help from the
community leaders for the approval of the activity and to provide assistance if needed. He will
also ask the residents for their response and participation.

Gloves

Expected Output

The expected output or outcome of this project is to maintain cleanliness in every


drainage canal to prevent possible floods or overflowing of excess water due to clogging. Create
awareness to the residents of Brgy. Bilucao on how important it is to have a proper and well-
maintained canal specially in times of rainy season. Moreover, contributes sustainability in
maintaining a clean and healthy environment in a long run.
