PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. Title of the Project:


“Healthy and Productive living through Backyard Planting”

Location:
 The locale of the community extension service is at Brgy. Salong, Calaca, Batangas

II. Duration:
 The project will start from May 04, 2020 until June 04, 2020, every Tuesday, 1:00 NN
– 4: 00 PM.

III. Type of Community Extension Service:


 The type of community service is Environmental / Ecological Program.

IV. Departments Involved:

VI. Beneficiaries:
The beneficiaries of the community service are the Students, Out of School Youth,
Administrator, and Community of Bargy. Salong, Calaca, Batangas

VIII.Total Cost of the Projects and Source of Funds:

The estimated cost of the Project is Php 0.00, because all the materials needed are
provided by the barangay and the other things are find at home.

IX.Rationale of the Project:

The urban gardening is the practice of processing and distributing food in or around
urban arcoss. It helps the city administrations optimize their support services for urban
agriculture. This will be executed at Brgy. Salong, Calaca , Batangas. The purpose of this
urban gardening will provide the community a greener environment and it will benefit the
children and the youth to avoid them in the excessive use of gadgets and provide a
healthy and productive living.

X.Objectives:
The Urban gardening projects aims:

1. To create a plenty of food for people that they need in everyday lives and to a
encourage the people to save money and for less expenses.

2. To create a community that have sustainable system and make people be vibrant,
healthy and productive.

3. To preserve the environment, increase green cover and create a better world for the
future generations.

XIII. Functional Relationships with the Collaborating Agencies (Duties / Tasks of the
Cooperating Agencies)

The students are making project, the urban gardening. In the help of Barangay Salong
Officials and SK Councilors Officials, this project would be possible, they make the opportunity for the
students and community to experience such gardening and to have some care to our environment. It
provides an opportunity for the students and community to exercise and to have a connection to
agriculture. The duty of the Batangas State University is to provide a place where we can make our
urban gardening, and to also preserve it and take care of it.

1. Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanics / Plan:

2. The NSTP Instructor, Ma’am Elaine C. De Padua will monitor the activities every week.
3. The leaders will finish the activities and he will make sure that her members attend and
participate in every activities.
